Kenneth T. Duncan, 92, a lifelong Millerton resident died peacefully at his boyhood home of 92 years on the evening of June 4, 2014, with his loving wife and family by his side. Mr. Duncan was a retired dairy farmer who owned and operated Duncandale Farm Inc., in Millerton for over 60 years. Born July 31, 1921 in Sharon, CT he was the son of the late Stanley and Julia (Barton) Duncan. Mr. Duncan was a graduate of Millerton High School and received an Associate's Degree in Animal Husbandry and Agriculture from Delhi University in New York State. On September 13, 1942 in Averill Park, NY he married Georgeanna Jaynes. Mrs. Duncan survives at home. Mr. Duncan was at member of the Millerton Grange and the Millerton Masonic Lodge as well as a member of the Millerton Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a proud member of the "Rounder's of Riga". He especially enjoyed being with his loving family and in his later years became a master jig-saw puzzler. In addition to his wife of 71 years he is survived by three children; Donald Duncan and his wife Sharon of Millerton, Patricia Flood and her husband Thomas J. also of Millerton and Jim Duncan and his wife Annette of Ballston Spa, NY. Eight Grandchildren; Bruce, Alex and Steve Duncan, Amy DeCesare, Leo and Jennifer Flood and Alysia and Erik Hamilton. Six great grandchildren; Sydney, Chelsea, Bailey, Gabriel, Ariana and Braeden Duncan and many friends. There are no calling hours. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 3pm at the Millerton Presbyterian Church, 58 Main Street, Millerton, NY. Reverend Zora Cheatham will officiate. Burial will take place at Irondale Cemetery, Millerton, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Millerton Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 427, Millerton, NY 12546.
