Mr. Kimmel served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater of Operations in World War II.
He married Della M. (Stollar) Kimmel Feb. 16, 1944, who is having a book of poems published in memory of him.
He loved the outdoors, was an avid gardener. He worked for the Manufacturers Light and Heat Gas Company of Cumberland, Md. from which he retired.
By reading his poems you can tell he was a dedicated Christian. He loved to write poems and give them to anyone. In his youth, he attended Windy Gap Presbyterian Church and then was an active member of the Ellerslie United Methodist Church. He died July 12, 1989.
Those of us who knew him, know he is now with Jesus who he loved and served. We hope these poems may inspire others to accept Jesus as their Savior.
