Charles B. Christensen, 94, formerly of 1731 Revere Dr., Manitowoc, died Monday evening in Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Friday in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. George J. Knudson will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Mr. Christensen was born Nov. 6, 1884 in the Town of Cato, Manitowoc County, son of the late Christ and Frances Nate Christensen. He grew up and was educated in the Town of Cato. He married Hertha Kieselhorst Aug. 11, 1910 in the Town of Newton, farming in the Town of Cato for 50 years, retiring to Manitowoc in 1950. Mrs. Christensen preceded him in death Jan. 23, 1964.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Elroy and Mary Jane Christensen of Fredericksburg, Pa.; a son-in-law, Abner Anderson of Manitowoc; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Harold Christensen of Madison; three grandsons and a great grandson. A son, Harold and a daughter, Irene Anderson and a sister, Viola Mahnke preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home 5 pm to 9 pm Thursday and Friday until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Shady Lane Home.
