It was with much regret that the people of Parsons learned of the death of George Thompson, of Welles Avenue, In his fifty-eighth year. Mr. Thompson had been a resident of this place and Miner's Mills for many ; years and by his quiet, upright life, earned for himself a place among the genuine folk who constitute the foundation of every community. Besides his wife, daughter, Jane, and son, George, he is also survived by two brothers, John Thompson, of Plains; William Thompson, of Edwardsvllle; and three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Cook, of Larksvllle; Mrs. Michael McDonald, of Miner's Mills: and. Mrs. J. Turnbull, of England. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, 111' Welles Avenue, and Interment will be In Hollenback Cemetery
