Frank Martin,75, of High Bridge Rd. Lancaster, KY died Thursday January 23, 2014 at St Joseph Hospice Center in Lexington, KY. He is survived by his wife Carol. Frank was born March 15, 1938 to the late Frank Sr. and Viola Todd Martin
He was retired from the R.J. Reynold's Tobacco Company after 30 years, was a devoted family man, poet, loved nature, and just keeping things simple. Frank was a member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church.
Also surviving is two daughters; Karen Vermillion (Jim) of Mt Eden, KY and Paige Edwards (Gabriel) of Lancaster; grandchildren Jessie Vermillion, Haley Vermillion, Evan Edwards, and Leland Edwards; a sister Joyce Walton, and a nephew Howard Coleman Jr; Frank was preceded in death by two-half brothers Howard Coleman Sr., Jimmy Coleman, and a half-sister Francis Martin Curtis
Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, January 27, 2014 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Kaywood Morris officiating. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Sunday. Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Jason Patterson, Gabriel Edwards, Mark Bentley, Eric Bentley, Curt Smith, and Damon Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are Roy Tyree, and Jack Preston
