Suggested Edit: James Ray Alexander, 90, of McComb, went to his heavenly home June 6, 2014. on the anniversary of D-Day. He may not have
stormed the beaches of Normandy but did serve in the Army in Europe in World War II. Visitation is 5 to 8 tonight at Hartman Funer-
al Home of McComb and will continue Monday from 10 a.m. until services at 11. Dr. David Millican will officiate. Burial will be with full
military' rites in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery' in Walthall County.
Mr. Alexander was born Feb. 4, 1924, in Walthall County, the son of Arthur Ray and Lucy Dunaway Alexander. He accepted Christ as his
Savior when he was 9. He went to school at Carter’s Creek. Soon after, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943, serving in World
War II and the Korean Conflict. He later enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving 25 years. Mr. Alexander was an avid hunter and fisherman,
lie enjoyed playing dominoes with his family and friends and also working on family genealogy. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pricedale. Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his par-
ents; a brother, Arthur Houston Alexander; a sister, Norma Jean Campbell: a daughter, Kathy A. Cutrer; an infant grandson, Vince Toney Alexander; an infant great-grandson, Arrington Michael Wilson; and a grandson-in-law, James Henry Moore III. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Georgia Lee Toney Alexander: two
sons, Keith Dana Alexander and wife Michelle of Tylertown, and Noland Dean Alexander and wife Pam of Summit: one son-in-law. Wiltz Cutrer of Crystal Springs: grandchildren, Wiltz Jr. and Kristen
Cutrer of Flowood, Lacasta and William Waitress, and Cara Cutrer, all of Brandon, Nikki Alexander Moore, Mattie Alexander and Brett Wilson of Summit, Sarah Alexander and Glynn Broom of Tylertown: eight great-grandchildren, Wiltz III and Izabella Cutrer, Oriheme Waitress, MelodiCutrer. Hannalora Waitress, Ardynn Wilson. Brody Moore, and Tony Moore: one niece. Sherry and Billy Reese of Arkansas: one great-niece, Mysti Miller and Beau: great-nephew, Matthew Eason: and great-great- nephew. Carter. Members of the military will serve as pallbearers.
