As reported in the Warsaw Bulletin (3 Oct 1890) Mr. Seifert previously had been an operative in the woolen mill in Warsaw and had a reputation for being brutal to his children. His daughter, Mary, had married against his will and upon her returning home he shot her in the head with one barrel of a shotgun. He then put the gun in his mouth and killed himself with the other barrel.

While living in Warsaw, Mr. Seifert married his second wife, Miss Kleinert, who was in an adjoining room when the tragedy occurred. (Provided by FAG Member #131102253
