He was born August 7, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Albert Henry and Laura Kinkaide Herbst. He was a former General Motors employee. He was an artist, he loved painting, drawing and building.
Jerry is survived by his wife Jenny Melinda Brown Herbst who he married on December 23, 1980, 2 daughters; April Melinda Herbst and Crystal Lynn Herbst, a step-son Thomas L. Wise Jr and a step-daughter Tonya Lynn Wise, 2 brothers Richard and Robert Herbst and 2 sisters Yvonne and Sharon, 7 grandchildren Machala, Faith, Madison, Ozias, Autumn and Zayden and a brother in law Paul Wayne Brown Jr.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Medway Cemetery in Medway, Ohio. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
