Funeral services were held Friday, January 1, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Brown and Bro. Eddie Miller officiating. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery. She was born November14, 1915 in Bloomington, Illinois to James Thomas Baker and Ethel Mounce Baker. Genevieve was a member of the Whitley City Second Baptist Church for over fifty years and was a member of the church choir. Before her retirement, she cooked at Stearns Elementary School. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, needlework, gardening, and caring for her family. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Virgil Jack Wright, whom she married September24, 1932 in Stearns, Kentucky, a son, Ronald Wright, a brother, Dwayne Baker, a sister, Audrey Creekmore, a grandson, Michael Hudson, and a great granddaughter,Stevie Rose Martin.
