Arlene Frances Hendrix Frost, 85, of Tulsa went to be with her Lord on June 6, 2014 in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was born on July 22, 1928 to Hosea Sherman and Ada (Talbott) Hendrix in Eula, Arkansas. Arlene moved to Tulsa to attend Central High School. She married the love of her life, James Edward Frost, on October 15, 1949. Although she was primarily a homemaker, she was also an executive secretary for the Port of Catoosa when it was founded. Arlene was a loving, caring mother not only to her three daughters but also to many outside of her immediate family. Her appreciation of beauty was apparent in her home and gardens. She was an excellent cook, a superb seamstress and had the gift of hospitality. She was a long-time member of the Tulsa Garden Club, and was a Bible Study Fellowship leader. Jim and Arlene helped found Christ Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school and was active on the Mission Committee. She loved reading and taught her girls to value education and culture. Arlene was well known for her servant heart as she ministered to others.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband James, her parents, and her brother Dale. She is survived by her daughters Tonya (David) Ford, Diane (James) Gardner, and Michelle (Alan) Strickland; five grandchildren Laura, Emily, Peter, Neil, and Julie; six great grandchildren; sisters Twila (John) Veger, Trudie (Roger) Hattem, and Judy Miller; sisters-in-law Mimi (Bob) Goldsmith, Wendy Hendrix; and numerous nieces and nephews.
