Funeral services are scheduled Tuesday, May 9 at 2 p.m. CDT at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in LaFayette with the Revs. Michael Stiggers and C. Broome officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett.
Ms. Asberry is survived by four daughters, Peggy (Ronald) Scott of West Point and Mary (Troy) McCants, Connie (Murphy) Dunn and Cassandra Asberry, all of Lanett; two sons, Lodennis (Jeannice) Asberry and Earl (Brenda) Asberry, both of LaFayette; one sister, Gertrude Brooks; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Ms. Asberry was born Dec. 31, 1932 in Chambers County. She was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church in LaFayette.
