Marquis H. Carr, 78, died at his home at 22 Hudson St., Bath, Wednesday. He was born in Hammondsport, the son of George and Levisa Carr. In early life he married Bessie Fordham of Corning, who survives with a daughter, Margaret Carr Clark, Bath; sons Arthur, Harry, Clifford all Elmira, and Elroy F., a retired Navy captain of Long Beach, Cal; a sister, Anna Gartan. Bath, and several grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. at the Bond Funeral Home with the Rev. John O. Mabuco officiating.
