Sean was my nephew, but he seemed more like a brother since I was only a couple of years older than he was. He was without a doubt the kindest, gentlest person I have ever known. I never heard him say an unkind word about another person. He loved life, and loved to laugh. He had this way of bringing you out of the worst mood just by being silly. We were very close growing up - but as we grew, somehow we got to see less and less of each other. He never got to see my daughter Christina, born not long before his death...that is one of my biggest regrets.
The thing I loved most about Sean was the way he would go out of his way to please people..nothing was too good for those he cared about. He died after his car was struck by a drunk driver while on his way home from work. He had just turned 21. But in tribute to his memory, I named my son Sean after him. He will never be forgotten, and will always be missed.
I miss you and think about you often, Sean.
