Mr. Mitchell L. Causey, Jr. passed away at the age of 83 on March 9, 2013 at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, LA.
He taught school in the Bogalusa School System for thirty years.
Mr. Causey was member of Greater Salter Chapel where he faithful served the Lord in various positions and auxiliaries- Senior choir over 16 years, a steward, Trustee, Church Treasurer, handyman whenever there was a need and van transportation. He was a faithful member of the Bogalusa Citywide Prayer Band for many years.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Carrie G. Causey of Bogalusa, LA; one daughter, Lauren Michelle C. Johnson of Bogalusa, LA; one brother, Charles Ray (Hazel) Causey of Los Angles, CA; two sisters, Myrtle (Elroy) MeGlothen of Los Angeles, CA and Ailda (Nathaniel) Le Doux of Henderson, Nevada; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Ora Causey, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 10:00 – 2:00 with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM at Greater Salter Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Keith Sander – Pastor Officiating. Internment will be held at the Bogalusa Cemetery.
