She was the wife of the late John C. McCarthy. Born in Cambridge, daughter of the late Michael and Cathrine (McLeod) Canniff, Mrs. McCarthy was a resident of Marblehead for 50 years. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Marblehead.
She is survived by two sons, John C. McCarthy and Edward M. McCarthy, both of Marblehead; two daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline Archbold of Marblehead and Mrs. Marilyn Rodham of Londonderry, N.H.; one brother, William Canniff of Arlington; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church at 10 a.m.
