The funeral for Willie Mack Jones, 76, of the Preston Community, Martinsville, who died Sunday, June 6, 2004, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Greater International Pentecostal Assembly Building on Carver Road. The Rev. Issac Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in A&H Cemetery in Martinsville.


Jones was born March 20, 1928, in Fieldale, to Willie Ben Jones and Carolyn Burnette Jones, both deceased.

He worked at the Fieldcrest Lodge as a general staff assistant for a number of years. Formerly employed by Fieldcrest Mills and Dixie Pig, he was a member of Meadowview A.M.E. Church and was a 33rd degree Mason, F&AA.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Dillard Jones; twin daughters, Loretta Jones and Coretta Jones, both of Lynchburg; one sister, Adrene "Piper" Cox of Martinsville; and one brother, Harry Jones of Albany, N.Y.
