Allie Cotton died at her residence in Dardanelle on the evening of the 6th day of June 1891, Mrs. Allie Cotton, wife of our esteemed fellow citizen C. B. Cotton. The deceased was a young matron, the happy mother of two bright children and the wife of a devoted husband. Some years back she had been feeble if not an invalid, but for quite a long time her health has been excellent. She attended the Ft. Smith bridge celebration recently, seemed in the finest of spirits and expressed herself as never having felt better in her life, but she returned home ill, and continued to grow worse until the sad, sad end.
The funeral was held at the Baptist Chruch by the Rev. W. T. Box of Morrilton, according to the Dardanelle Post. Allie Conlee Cotton was buried at Brearley Cemetery, in Dardanelle, Arkansas. (WWW.YellCountyObits.org,Her obituary was published in Jun 1891. )
