Obituary Prescott Daily Courier: Charles Albert, 79, of Chino Valley, Ariz., died Dec. 14, 2011, in Prescott, Ariz. He was born Aug. 23, 1932, in Jackson, Ohio.
Mr. Albert attended Jackson School and Hayward College. He served his country during the Korean and Vietnam wars in the Navy. Besides his Naval career, he worked for Lucky Stores.
He was an active volunteer assisting groups such as Boy Scouts, Cans for Kids and HeadStart. He enjoyed fishing and camping.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Albert Presley.
Mr. Alberts is survived by is his wife of 40 years, Margie Albert; a daughter, Tina Norton Owen (Dave) of Georgia; sisters Ina Luster of Tennessee, Marie Saunders of Ohio, and Janie Ortega of Texas; two granddaughters, Armanda of Chino Valley and Paige of Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at the American Legion Post # 40 in Chino Valley. The family was assisted by Westcott Funeral Home.
