Clarence Adams

Clarence Edwin "Ed" Adams, 75, of 1194 Forest Drive in Lawrenceburg, formerly of Madison, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.

He was born Aug. 10, 1930, in Versailles, the son of Clarence and Jeanette Farrell Adams. He lived in Madison for 30 years, and was a retired sales representative for Bankers Life Insurance with 30 years of service. He had lived in Lawrenceburg for the past 20 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are two sons, Douglas Adams of Memphis, Tenn., and Keith Adams of Hanover; two brothers, Don Adams of Bedford, Ky., and Kenny Adams of Versailles; two granddaughters; three nieces; one nephew; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Sandra E. Adams, in 2003; and one nephew.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Vail-Holt Funeral Home Madison Chapel, with burial in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Full military graveside services will be conducted by the Honor Guard of the American Legion, Jefferson Post 9.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org/tribute. Contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
