RITTMAN Martha E. (Resecker) Bloss, 80, of Rittman, died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at Regency Hospital in Barberton.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home, Rittman with Pastor Donald C. Resecker officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born on March 15, 1923, in Monroe County to George and Okel (Ault) Workman and married Curtis Bloss. He died in 1986.

She had lived most of her life in the Rittman area.

She was a nurse's aid at area nursing homes and was a member of the Mount Zion Church of Christ in Sterling.

Surviving are sons, Eugene (Norma) Resecker of Woodsfield, and Harry (Connie) Resecker of Burbank; daughters, Norma (Elwood) Tanner of Orrville, Marilyn (Roy) Combs of West Salem, Mildred (John) Cyrus of Orrville, and Ilene (Jack) Thompson of Mansfield; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Bessie Stewart of New Matamoras and a half-sister, Ruth Lasco of Martins Ferry.

In addition to her husband, sisters, Dorothy Hutchison, Susanna Kernen, Irene Baker, and Eva Butler, died previously.
