JUNCTION CITY — A mass of Christian celebration will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at St. Helen Catholic Church in Junction City for Dale Sherrill Adams of Junction City, who died June 10 of age-related causes. He was 83.

He was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Salem to Verle and Felicity Oressa St. John Adams. He married Carol Melchiors on Sept. 30, 1948, in Vancouver, Wash.

He graduated from Benson High School in Portland in 1943. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War. He worked in the grocery business for Mayfair and Safeway, and started a small family candy wholesale business, Adams Distributing, which he operated for 23 years before retiring in 1996.

Survivors include is wife; two sons, Robert and Richard, both of Junction City; two daughters, Cheryl Coughran and Jan Nicol, both of Junction City; a brother, Gary of Washington; a sister, Eudelle Dickey of Eugene; and 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to the Junction City Fire Department or St. Vincent de Paul.
