Helen Pomeroy Barnhardt, 95, of Ferndale, died Sunday, October 14, 2001, in Custer.

She was born July 13, 1906 in Ferndale. Her parents were George and Gertrude Menze. Mrs. Barnhardt was a lifetime resident of Whatcom Coutny.

She was preceded in death by husbands: Thomas E. Pomeroy and Merle Barnhardt.

Survivors include: 3 daughters, Betty Heyano of Seattle, Kay Pearson & husband Ed of Ferndale and Gail Judge & husband Jim of Custer; 6 sons, Tom Pomeroy of Ferndale, Jack Pomeroy & wife Lois of Sumas, Don Pomeroy & wife Lois of Lynden, Dick Pomeroy of Everett, Mike Pomeroy & wife Darlene of Burlington, Ed Pomeroy & wife Judi of Ferndale; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 sister Ibe Blackler of Oreville, WA and many other relatives.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, October 20, 2 pm at Moles Funeral Home Chapel in Ferndale.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Whatcom County or Children's Hospital, Seattle, WA.
