MARTELL Christopher "Chris" Joseph Martell, 18, KCK, passed away December 22, 2004, in Kansas City, KS.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 29 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at Joseph A. Butler and Son Funeral Home, 19th and Minnesota Ave., KCK, where the Rosary will be said at 6 p.m.

Chris was an intelligent and caring young man who graduated from Sumner Academy for the Arts and Sciences with honors in 2004. He was a student at the University of Kansas. He was a member of St. Joseph-St. Benedict Catholic Church.

Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Jose Martell. He leaves his father and stepmother Miguel and Carolina Martell, Kansas City, KS; mother Linda Lillard, Kansas City, MO; paternal grandmother Alicia Martell, KCK; and maternal grandparents Tom Lillard and Pat Lillard, both of Kansas City; brothers Michael A. Martell and Richard N. Martell, KCK; sister Pamela Martell and Jennifer V. Martell, all of KCK; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
