Named after his uncle, who was co-owner and manager of the Alcazar Theater in San Francisco for many years. He was not yet 2 years of age when the 1906 earthquake struck. He was 11 when he attended the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition with his family. He was a bank teller at a commercial bank in downtown San Francisco. He was married and his wife's name was Natalie (born about 1914). He had a daughter named Joan (born about 1936) and a son named Stephen (born about 1938). In 1940, the family lived at 1538 30th Avenue in the Sunset district of San Francsico. By the 1960s, he was living by himself in an upscale hotel downtown. Research is still being made on what happened to his wife and children.
