Dorothy Osgood was one of several children born to parents Samuel Osgood and Dorothy Wardwell. Her mother passed away when she was quite young and she gained a step mother named, Elizabeth Abbott and several more siblings.

On the 13th of December 1764 in Andover, Essex, Massachusetts she married William Walker. William would later go on to play an extremely important role in the American Revolutionary War.

Dorothy and William had numerous children together. Each of their children had some form of a significant role in Colonial America. Many of their descendents were involved in military events, such as, the Civil War.

Dorothy is buried near her husband William on a farm that was once their own. Her grave stone no longer exists or is standing.
