We were saddened by the news of the death of the wife of Mr. E.B. Craft at her home in the Red Brush neighborhood last Saturday evening. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. D.W. Crawford, formerly a resident of the county but is now living on Patterson's Creek in Botetourt County. She was buried at the graveyard near the old McCartney mill (McCartney Cemetery) below this place, on Monday, leaving a husband and four small children besides numerous other relatives to mourn her death.
