QUAKER CITY--Funeral services for George B. Atkinson, 74, Batesville, will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday at Eberle Funeral Home with the Rev. Allan Teter officiating. Burial will be in Batesville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 P.M. today and Friday. Masonic services will be held there at 7:30 P.M. Friday.

A retired automobile dealer, Mr. Atkinson died Wednesday evening (March 22, 1972) in Guernsey Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks.

He was associated with his brothers in the car business in Batesville for 44 years.

Born Feb. 28, 1898 in Batesville, he was the son of George H. and Viola Matilda Reed Atkinson and was a member of Batesville United Methodist Church. He also belonged to Quaker City Lodge 500, F&AM, Quaker City Chapter Order of Eastern Star and Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge.

Mr. Atkinson leaves his wife, the former Margaret Calvert, whom he married Jan. 20, 1922; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Roe, Batesville and Mrs. Blanche Denis, Columbus; two brothers, Charles R. and John Atkinson, both of Batesville. Two sisters and three brothers are deceased.
