Rodney "Rocky" Blier Services for Rocky Blier will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Frank Cosgrove officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Rocky was born on December 25, 1964 in Topsham, Maine and he was raised in Vernon, Connecticut.

At the age of 18, he joined the Navy as a Seabee and honorably served his country for over five years. He has been a resident of Lauderdale County for over twenty-five years. He was a member of several handicap sporting clubs. Rocky was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a pro-life advocate.

He was an avid hunter and also loved to fish.

Rocky is survived by his parents, Paul and Sue Blier of Meridian, his brother, Steven and his wife Melissa and his niece Sarah, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He is also survived by his daughter Shauna, his son Jimmy and seven grandchildren.

He leaves numerous family members including George and Louise Beaulieu of Brunswick, Maine, Jackie Wincapaw of Beloit, Wisconsin, Denise Mulholland of Bangor, Maine and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Henry and Yvonne Beaulieu of Brunswick Maine and paternal grandparents Robert J. and Alma Blier of Waterville, Maine and uncles, Robert N. Blier and Donald F.Wincapaw.

Compassionate nursing by First Call and fifteen years of loving care was led by Melanie Spears of Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Outstanding caregivers also include Brenda Sells, Vince McLehenny, Edie Mosely, Kaci Scoggins and Martha Cullman.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Don Marascalco, Dylan Spears, Chris Shanrock, Chad Hover, Chris Hover, Greg Hunter, Doug Stoles and Wilbur Burch.

Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Hover, the Knights of Columbus Honor Guard and the Military Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Patrick's School Expansion Fund or a handicap organization of your choice.
