Ruth was a daughter of Guy and Eva Holliday. She graduated from Eastside High School in Denver, Colorado in 1924 and from Mercy School of Nursing with a degree in nursing in 1929. She married Ross H. Mansur (1907-1965) on Aug. 23, 1929. They farmed in Johnstown until Ross' death. She was a resident of Cedar Crest Retirement Home in Janesville since 1976 where she loved to make ceramics. She was a member of Emmanuel Free Methodist Church. Her greatest achievement was returning to Bible College in Clearwater, Florida, when in her 60's and graduating with honors.
