Nancy B. Denby, age 83, of Valparaiso passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at her home.
She was born on January 26, 1929 in East Chicago to Jerome and Sylvia (Gable) Spencer.
Nancy worked for over 40 years for the Valparaiso Community Schools as a bus driver and a custodian. She was a member of the Griffith Pilgrim Holiness Church.
On June 19, 1948 in Valparaiso, Nancy married Kenneth Denby, Sr. who preceded her in death on February 20, 2011.
She is survived by her children: Diane (Terry) Anderson of Highland, Kenneth (Barbara) Denby, Jr. of Valparaiso, and Steven Denby of Valparaiso; four grandchildren: Shawn and Todd (Missy) Anderson, Kathie (Ruben) DelValle II, and Jessica Denby; great grandson, Ruben DelValle III; sister, Helen Jane (Bill) Salyer of Brookston; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Laverne Abraham and Lucille Berry; and four brothers: Ed, Wilbert, Jack, and Chuck Spencer.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with Rev. Arlace Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.
