Carolyn R. Whetro, age 75, of Antwerp, Ohio, and formerly a longtime resident of Edgerton, Ohio, died unexpectedly in her home early on Friday, June 13, 2014. A 1957 graduate of Bryan High School, she was also a longtime member of the Edgerton Church of Christ. She attended Paulding County Senior Citizens after moving to Antwerp and enjoyed being with her grandkids, watching soap operas and tending to her cat, "Angel." As an avid baseball fan, especially Little League, she and her husband, Hal, were major supporters of the Edgerton Little League program for many years and also enjoyed attending the Little League World Series numerous times.

Carolyn R. Whetro was born on May 9, 1939, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of John W. and Fern (Moog) Stokes. She married Hal E. Whetro on September 21, 1958, in Bryan and he preceded her in death on November 5, 2005.

Survivors include one son, Kerry (Paula) Whetro, of Mascotte, Florida; one daughter, Cheryl (Andy) Hahn, of Antwerp; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Joan Stokes, of Bryan. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert Whetro, in 2006, and her brother, John B. Stokes, in 2012.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at 7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, with her son, Kerry Whetro, officiating. Private interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton.

Memorials are requested to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
