Grace was the daughter of George and Annie Hodge (Jackson) Grissom. She was the 2nd wife of William Edgar Shook and they had two children: (Child), Judy Carol.

NEWPORT NEWS - Mrs. Grace G. Shook, mother of David L. Shook of Newport News, died Sunday in Alexander County Hospital, Taylorsville, N.C.
She was born in Raleigh, N. C.
Additional survivors include three daughters; another son; a sister; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Wednesday in Taylorsville where Adams Funeral Home is in charge.
