Anna Margaret (Hanes) Beebe, 92, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 12, 2014, following a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Gordon Beebe. She was born in Johnstown. Anna was a homemaker where she raised five boys. Mrs. Beebe was a founding member of the Glenmont Community Church (reformed) and served as a deacon, elder and president of the women's guild. Anna enjoyed reading, knitting, bike riding, walking, bird watching, and mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Anna is the mother of Alan, Gregg, Roger, Tim (David Marshall) and Eric (Patrice) Beebe. She is the grandmother of Trevor, Rebecca, Jordan, and Andrew Beebe. Anna is survived by her brother, Harold (Muriel) Hanes of New Hartford, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Jennette Hanes. Services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial in Memory Gardens, Colonie. The Rev. Jonathan Gray will officiate.
