Nola Rae (Novak) Wimberly, 78, of Olney, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at her home.
Nola was born December 28, 1935 in Richland County, Illinois, the daughter of Stanley and Geneva (Coplea) Novak.
She married Jerry Wimberly on July 14, 2006 in Vincennes, IN. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2009.
She was also married to Donald "Red" McGookey, who preceded her in death on September 17, 2012.
Nola was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a lover of animals and would feed stray dogs and cats. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Henry of Olney; son, Scott Henry of Olney; granddaughters, Nicole (Justin) Bradfield of Grayville, IL, Pagan (Tony) Potter of Albion, IL, and Allison (Josh) Downs of Grayville, IL; great grandchildren, Jalie and Ian Bradfield, and Logan, Olivia, and Adalynn Potter; sisters, Louise Williams, Mary Trost, Suzie Romeo and Debbie Jones; brothers, Don Novak, Walter "Pete" Novak, and Steve Novak; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Geneva Novak, husband, Jerry, companion, Don, sisters, Shirley Brown and Diane Abegglen, brothers, Stan and Tim Novak, infant brother, Vincent, twin (infant) James, and granddaughter, Amy Jo Henry.
