Cecil D. Beagle, 78, of New Matamoras, died on Sunday, June 15, 2014, at his home.
He was born on May 31, 1936, in Marietta, Ohio, to Oda and Josephine Beagle.
He was a construction worker for Labor Union 629.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Loy Beagle; one son, Gary Beagle (Patty); two daughters, Donna Slonaker (Danny) and Karen Amos (Rick); four grandchildren, Melissa McFall (Jeremy), Jessica McKnight (Toad), Gary Beagle Jr. (Tish) and Heather Amos (Zach), all of New Matamoras; five great-grandchildren, Coleton, Carlee, Calynn, Fisher and Gracie; one sister, Dorothy Blatt of Paden City, W.Va.; two brothers, Perry Beagle of East Liverpool, and Harold Beagle of New Matamoras; and a special companion, Cici. In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by one son, Howard Ray Beagle; one grandchild, Michael P. Slonaker; two sisters, Wanda Springer and Sylvia Rice; and six brothers, Howard, Carl, Leslie, Glen, Francis and Beryl Beagle.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 19, at Hadley Funeral Home New Matamoras Chapel, 700 Main St., New Matamoras, Ohio. Burial to follow in Matamoras Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, at the funeral home
