Age 73, passed away late Sunday following a long illness. She was born on May 13, 1901 in New London and had lived in Kaukauna since her marriage on November 20, 1920. She belonged to the W.B.A., V.F.W. Auxiliary, Post 3319, Verna Church Circle, Kaukauna Golden Agers. Survivors include her husband, Ervin; four daughters, Mrs. John (Jean) Smith of Appleton, Mrs. Elmo (June) Steinke and Mrs. Richard (Donna) Frakes both of Menasha, Mrs. Fred (Phyllis) Hendricks of DePere; two sons, John (Jake) of Route 2, Hilbert, William P. (Butts) of Appleton; one brother, Mr. Walter Pontow of Menasha; one sister, Mrs. Marie Quaintance of Clintonville; 32 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Kaukauna with interment in Union Cemetery with Rev. Harvey Kandler officiating. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home after 2 p.m. on Tuesday and on Wednesday until 10 a.m.
