Sister Mary Elizabeth Broderick S.N.D., 90, of Worcester, a teacher at Notre Dame Academy for 35 years, died at the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center. She was born in Boston, daughter of William E. and Mary Frances (Mullaney) Broderick. Sister entered the Sisters of Notre Dame in 1937 and professed her perpetual vows in 1945. She received her bachelor's degree in English from Emmanuel College in Boston, and her master's degree in education. Teacher of English, psychology and religion at several Notre Dame schools. Teacher for 10 years and later 25 more years at Notre Dame Academy in Worcester, retiring in 2002. Former teacher at the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, and St. Mary's School in Lynn. Principal of St. Joseph's School in Somerville from 1967 to 1969. Also, a former director of religious education at Star of the Sea Parish, Marblehead. She leaves a brother, William Broderick of Scituate and Jupiter, Fla., and her sisters in religion, the Sisters of Notre Dame. Her brother, Edmund, predeceased her.
