MARY E. FRAVEL This fine lady was Daniel J. Rhodes first wife. She was the first born daughter of John and Mary Fravel of Hill Grove. Born in 1857 she married Daniel Rhodes in 1879 when she was 21 and he was 24. They had six children. The first three, William, Eva and John were born in Harrison county. Their last three children Lula, Amzie and Herman were born in Posey County so they must have moved there around 1885/6. Mary died at age 36 in 1894. She is buried in Black’s Chapel Cemetery in Mt Vernon, Ind near her son Amzie (1888-1893).
