ROLAND GARFIELD RICE of West Melbourne, FL. Roland was a WWII, U.S. Army Sergeant who survived the attack on Pearl Harbor. He retired as a Transportation Specialist at Dulles Airport, worked for Raytheon Corporation and was a dental courier for TLC Dental Labs. Preceded in death by his wife, Effice "Topsy" Rice and daughter, Shirley DeVivio, surviving are daughter, Linda R Rainbolt of Rockville, MD; grandchildren, Roland Case of MD and George Rainbolt of West Melbourne, Linda "Rene" Rainbolt of West Melbourne and great-grandchildren, Katie Rainbolt, Emily Rainbolt, Jodie Cranmer and Roland "R.J." Cranmer. Memorial services will be held May 10, 2013 at the Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care in Melbourne. Published in FLORIDA TODAY on May 8, 2013.
