STITTVILLE – Joseph Casamento, 79, Route 365, Stittville, died this morning in Rose Hospital, Rome, after a brief illness.
Mr. Casamento was born Oct. 2,1895, in St. Joseph's, Italy, son of Vincent and Roaslie Randazzo Casamento, and came to this country as a young man.
He married Mary Pulizzi July 27, 1916 in Frankfort, and settled in this area. He owned and operated a farm on Route 365, retiring in 1960.
Mr. Casamento was a member of St. Leo's Church, Holland Patent.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. William (Rose) Gillett, Stittville; three sons, James B. Anthony and John Casamento. All of Stittville; three brothers, Vincent Casamento, New York City, and John and Ignatius Casamento, St. Joseph's Italy; three sister, Mrs. Laura Bellone, Mrs. Florence Pilliteri and Mrs. Santina Simonetti, all of ST. Joseph's, Italy. 10 grandchildren and one great grand hold.
Funeral services will be held Monday6 at 9+30 at the George W. Koerner Funeral Home, Holland Patent, and at 10 in St. Leo's Church, Holland Patent. Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery, Stittville.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Saturday from7 to 0 p.m. And Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
