Danny, 59, passed away on Friday, at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids as a result of an accident. He was born to Donovan and Darlene (Johnson) Eller in Carson City. Danny married Susan Post on June 27, 1970 in the Congregational Church in Carson City. He worked as a Sewer Administrator-Operator for Crystal Township. Danny was the president of the Central Michigan Sportsman Club, the Montcalm County Hunter Safety Coordinator, a member of the Crystal Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Michigan Squirrel Dog Association. He taught Hunter Safety classes and CCW classes. Danny was a former Little League coach in Crystal, a past president of the Holland Lake Association and won the very prestigeous Golden Eagle Award from the Sheridan VFW Post for his many years of volunteering throughout the community. He enjoyed cutting wood, deer skinning, fur trading, being involved with DEI Racing, and hunting deer from his golf cart. Danny loved all children and doted on his grandchildren.
He is survived by; his parents, Donovan and Darlene Eller of Sheridan: his wife, Susan of Sheridan: three sons; Jamie (Janee) Eller of Sumner, Joe (Holly) Eller of Sheridan and Josh Eller of Sheridan: five grandchildren: sister; Debbie (Larry) Ralph of Sheridan: three brothers; Dean (Becky) Eller of Sheridan, David (Shell) Eller of Crystal and Doug of Vestaburg.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Central Michigan Sportsman Club on Sunday, May 2, 2010 with Rev. Ried Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. The family is being served by the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home in Crystal.
