Elizabeth M. "Betty" Bryan, 99, of Dover died peacefully Saturday, May 24, 2014 in Park Village nursing home. Born September 29, 1914 in Mannington, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George Arlington and Dessie (Shriver) Knisely. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald W. "Jady" Bryan on April 26, 1961. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Arthur Knisely. Betty was a registered nurse who was proud to be one of Union Hospital's first intensive care unit nurses and a long time private duty nurse. She will be sadly missed by her family including her three children William G. "Jerry" (Peggy) Bryan, Richard Bryan, and Carol (Joel) Kaderly; six grandchildren, Jeff (Jan) Bryan, Dan (Ginny) Bryan, Ann (Don) Staley, Kerri (Phil) Joseph, Dan (Jen) Kaderly, and Matt (Eun) Kaderly. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and another expected great grandchild. Private graveside services will be held in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. There are no calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory is handling the arrangements.
