Passed away at Shawano Medical Center, Shawano, WI. Harold was the son of the late Martha (nee Sukkert) and Harold C Vague Sr. On July 7, 1951, he was united in marriage to Doris M Burmeister. He owned and operated Harold's Tap for 46 years. After many years of hard work he retired up north to his favorite place — the cabin. His love of gardening and the outdoors brought many years of enjoyment. He loved his flowers, gardening, fishing and the joy of watching his family enjoy the cabin up north. He will always be remembered for his kind heart and willingness to help anyone, with his many tools at hand. He will be deeply missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Doris; his children, Cheryl Vague, of Green Bay, and Jackie Vague (Karl) Nelson, of Racine; six grandchildren, Emily Nelson, Joanne Vague, Kenny Vague, Billy Vague, Christina Vague and Lynn Callies; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Merle Vague, of San Jose, Calif.; brother-in-law, Ron Burmeister, of Racine; sister-in-law, Nellie Suzka, of South Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William Vague. Funeral services were held Friday, May 23, 2014, at Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St., Racine.
