Gary Alan Goodspeed, 60, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in an auto accident near Eskridge. He was born September 18, 1953 in Bradenton, FL., the son of Donald and Patricia Brownell Goodspeed. He grew up in Pennsylvania and had lived in the Eskridge community for many years.

Gary worked as a supervisor and crew chief for Ultimate Rentals in Topeka, Kansas. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman and previously served as a mounted guide and game tracker in Colorado; fulfilling a childhood dream of his to work in the wildlife industry.

Gary was a devoted father and was the primary caregiver to his three children, Kelsey Goodspeed and Krystal Goodspeed, both of Topeka, and Justin Goodspeed, of Eskridge.

In addition to his children, Gary is also survived by his mother, Pat Goodspeed in Florida; his older sister Susan Brion in Topeka, his younger brother, David Goodspeed, in New York; his life partner, Debra Fox, of the home, two grandchildren, Alex Tyler Jim and Brooklyn Jim and he has a third grandchild on the way. His surviving nieces and nephews are Greg Brion, Jeremy Brion, Joel Brion, Kellie Goodspeed, Ben Goodspeed,
