Willys-Overland Aid Stricken Abroad
Williard G. (Cy) Burt, 54, credit manager of Willys-Overland Export Corp., died unexpectedly Wednesday at the Willys export offices in Zug, Switzerland. He lived at 3714 Barcelona Dr.
A native of Redford, Mich., Mr. Burt attended Michigan State University, and started his business career with the Peoples State Bank of Redford, where he was employed from 1926 to 1933.
He entered the automobile business with Chrysler Export Corp. in Detroit in 1934, and joined the Kaiser-Frazer Export Corp. at Willow Run, Mich., in 1947 as credit manager. He moved to Toledo in 1953 as export credit manager when Kaiser and Willys automotive interests were consolidated.
He is survived by his wife, Marian; daughter, Susan, and son, Bruce, Toledo, and brother, Warren, Detroit.
The body will be in the Ross B. Northrup & Son Mortuary, Grand River Avenue, Detroit, after noon Monday. Services will be in the mortuary Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Grandlawn Cemetery, Detroit.
