REINHOLD A. DETJEN

Reinhold A. Detjen, 83, formerly of 911 N. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died Monday at Manitou Manor, Manitowoc, where he had been a resident since April, 1969.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10:30 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Leo Schmitt will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Detjen was born Feb. 18, 1886, in Manitowoc County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Detjen Sr. He married agnes Kasten Oct. 19, 1915, at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. The couple owned and operated a farm on Rt. 3, Manitowoc, and he was also employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. He retired in 1954 and the couple then
moved to Manitowoc. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Innocents Church.

Survivors include the wife; two sons, Kenneth of Waco, Texas, and Reinhold Jr., of Rt. 4, Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Marian) Schuler, of Rt. 1, Valders; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A daughter, three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where memorial services will be conducted at 8 p.m.
