Helen C. Staysniak (nee Ackerman), 76, of North Ridgeville died Tuesday in Cleveland after a six-month illness with heart disease.

Born in Avon, she was a lifelong area resident.

A member of St. Peter Catholic Church, she belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include daughters, Diane Fedak of North Ridgeville, Elaine T. Betz of Cleveland and Nancy H. Breus of Brunswick; sons, the Rev. Dale W., pastor of St. Anthony of Padua in Parma, and Wayne M. of Yardley, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Staysniak.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Bogner-Busch Family Chapel, 36403 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral chapel, followed by 10 a.m. Mass at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. The Rev. Dale Staysniak will be the celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary/Borromeo Seminary Endowment Fund.
