James S. Case, 73, brother of Mrs. Allen Doran and Ralph Case of Bemidji, died at San Marcos, Calif., this morning after an extended illness. Committal services will be held in Bemidji with burial in the family lot in Greenwood cemetery.

Mr. Case, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Newell J. Case, pioneer residents of Bemidji, had lived in the west about 30 years. His wife, Nellie, also survives and several nieces and nephews. (Bemidji Daily Pioneer, July 15, 1966)
