Alice Arlene Adams, aged 89. Born February 18th 1922 to Walter and Celestia Petersen of Kenosha, Wisconsin. Died February 1st, 2012 at Spooner Nursing Home in Spooner, Wisconsin. Alice was preceded in death by her father, mother and 4 siblings. Alice was the wife of Dean Adams of Spooner, Wisconsin. Married in 1943, she and Dean were together for 68 years. Dean and Alice had 5 children; Daryl, Andrew, Joseph, William and Peter. Daryl and Andrew preceded Alice in death. She is survived by her husband Dean and sons Joseph (Karen), William and Peter. She has 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Alice grew up as a city girl in Kenosha Wisconsin. The couple met while Dean was stationed at Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois serving in the United States Navy during WWII. Following Deans' discharge from the Navy, the couple then went on to farm life in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. In 1955 they bought a farm of their own near Menomonie, Wisconsin. The family lived there until 1972 when they bought a Resort near Winter, Wisconsin. Dean and Alice ran the Resort until 1983 when they retired and moved to Hayward, Wisconsin. She will be missed by all.
