PEKIN, IL - Irene Edna VanNattan, 93, of 1313 Chestnut St. died at 8:05 a.m. Friday, May 7, 1999, at her home.

Born July 18, 1905, in Manito to George and Lena Fisher Hilst, she married Arvil Nelson VanNattan on Nov. 9, 1938, in Davenport, Iowa. He died March 5, 1987, in Pekin.

One stepson, Virgil VanNattan, nine brothers and five sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Janet Maile, with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Harland (Leota "Pat") Underwood of Pekin; two sons, Harold Hilst of Manito and Terry VanNattan of Pekin; four sisters, Jennie Ingersoll, Mrs. Howard (Mabel) Muller and Della Pearl Kelly, all of Pekin, and Mrs. Art (Helen) Eden of North Redington Beach, Fla.; one brother, Melvin "Bud" Hilst of Manito; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Burial will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery, Manito.
